Kimi

away from Villa Averoff, Evia

Kymi is a prosperous little town in a fertile hilly area and the only port on the inhospitable northeast coast of Evia. It has a characteristic "island" look. Its houses retain their pure traditional architecture. Kymi has been known since ancient times and it is said that the town existed before the Trojan War. The surrounding district has numerous attractive villages, beaches, monasteries and plenty of woodland. Ferry-boats and hydrofoils depart for the Sporadic islands of Skyros, Skiathos, Skopelos and Alonissos.
